MesoRealm ("MesoRealm," "we," "us," or "I") is a companion app for tabletop roleplaying groups, currently in a free, invite-only alpha. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It'swritten in plain language on purpose.
MesoRealm is operated by Lauren Hodges as an individual. If you have questions, use the contact form at the bottom of this page.
MesoRealm is intended for people aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us using the form below and we will remove it.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and the display name associated with your Google account. We do not receive your Google password.
Content you create. MesoRealm stores the things you make and do in the app: your character details, campaign membership, in-game purchases and inventory,crafting activity, scheduling availability, and the letters you write to other players and to your Game Master's characters. Some of this is visible to other members of your campaign as part of how the app works (for example, your character name and standing with merchants). Letters you mark as private are hidden from your Game Master, though the fact that a private letter was sent is visible.
Images you upload. If you upload a character portrait or, as a Game Master,merchant artwork, those images are stored so the app can display them.
Usage information. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used in aggregate (for example, which features are opened and general usage patterns). This helps us improve MesoRealm. This information is collected through Google's analytics tools and is associated with device and usage identifiers.
Contact form. If you use the contact form on this page, we collect whatever you choose to send us (such as your email and message) so we can respond.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to serveyou advertising.
Other members of your campaign. By design, some of your information (your display name, character, and in-game activity) is visible to the Game Master and other players in campaigns you join. Private letters are the exception noted above.
Service providers. MesoRealm runs on Google Firebase, which provides our authentication, database, file storage, and analytics. Google processes and stores this data on our behalf. You can read Google's privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties, except where required by law.
Your data is stored on Google Firebase's servers. Google operates data centersin multiple regions; MesoRealm's data is hosted in the United States. By using the app, you understand your information is stored and processed there.
Access and correction. You can view and edit much of your information directly in the app (your display name, character details, and so on).
Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us using the form below. We will delete your account data within a reasonable period. Note that content you contributed to shared campaigns (such as letters other players received) may remain visible to those players, and records kept for the operation of a campaign may persist until that campaign is deleted.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such asthe GDPR (Europe) or CCPA (California), including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the form below.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. If you delete your account, we remove your associated data as described above. Some information may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
We use Google Firebase's security features, including authentication and access rules that restrict who can read and write your data, to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
MesoRealm is in active development, and this policy may change as the app grows (for example, if we later add payments). When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
